Funeral service was held Monday, June 2, 2PM from the Chortitzer Mennonite Church in Steinbach with Rev. Bill Hildebrandt and Rev. John Stoesz officiating. Interment followed in the Niverville Cemetery. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the Bethesda Hospital Foundation, Box 939 Steinbach, MB R0A 2A0.
Pallbearers for the service were Henry Stoesz, Jacob Stoesz, Abe Friesen, Ed Hiebert, Glen Kehler and Ben Unger.
Besides his beloved wife Katharina, he is survived by one daughter, Susanna of Steinbach; two sisters: Mrs. Helena Unger of Niverville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Funk of Vancouver, BC.
He was predeceased by his first wife Susanna in 1950, three brothers, Henry, Cornelius and David.
